The BVG business was and is largely a self-service store for the financial industry. The poor returns and performances on pension fund assets over the past few years have to do with mismanagement, over-administration, and unsustainable investment strategies. I support cooperative pension funds (which perform well over the long term) and freedom of choice of pension fund.
