Um dem demografischen Wandel und der steigenden Lebenserwartung gerecht zu werden, braucht es eine weitere Flexibilisierung des Rentenalters (z.B. eine automatische Anpassung des Rentenalters an die Lebenserwartung oder eine Lebensarbeitszeit). Für physisch höheren Belastungen ausgesetzten ArbeitnehmerInnen sollen Branchenlösungen gefunden werden (wie dies z. B. im Baugewerbe bereits der Fall ist).
