Die Lebenserwartung hat stark zugenommen und der Anteil der total gearbeiteten Stunden nimmt durch die vermehrte Teilzeit arbeit sowie die längerfristige abnahme der Arbeitenden Bevölkerung eher ab. Dadurch gerät die verfügbare Geldmenge im Umschlagerungssystem AHV aus dem Gleichgewicht. Mit einem höheren Rentenalter können diese Effekte teilweise kompensiert werden.
